Liner holes, tears & termite damage repaired underwater Patching Pool Vinyl Liners
Patching Pool Vinyl LinersWe dive Pools for Inspection/Leak Detection. We identify holes in liners and dye test suspect spots like gaskets at steps, skimmers & return fittings. We repair/seal/patch/fix those leaking areas. In most cases we can stop all leaks. In rare cases some liners are beyond repair. If you need a new liner, in most cases we can slow down your Leak(s) for the remainder of the season. This gives you more time to shop for a New Liner replacement.
Locate Hidden Pipe Leaks
Precisely within 2 ft.
We first identify what pipe(s) are leaking by pressure testing the pipes. Once we determine which pipe(s) Leak then we go about precisely locating or pinpointing those underground Leaks. We usually can locate those concealed leaks under Patios or decks etc. with High Tech electronics like helium detectors or sonar/microphones. We mark the suspected Leak areas and then your pool company can do the Leak repair or we can recommend a Pool co.
Vinyl Liner or Gunite
Swimming Pool Leaks
Leaks can be repaired underwater. Whether it is holes in a vinyl liner or minor cracks in a gunite pool, those leaks can be repaired by a diver underwater. Light leaks or leaks at gaskets also can be sealed, or patched in most cases.
In Vinyl Liner or Gunite Pools
Light Leaks can be repaired
Leaks in lights are in most cases at the conduit can be repaired underwater with epoxy. These repairs are only temporary and will typically last at least a couple seasons. For a permanent repair it would entail a fairly large construction project and would involve pulling up the material behind the light (bricks, concrete etc.) where a new connection would be made at the conduit where it joins the niche of the light.
Is the Leak in the inside
of pool or the plumbing?
Diagnosing where the leak is not a very difficult process initially. First we attempt to determine if the leak is in the interior of the pool or the piping. We want to see if you loose more water with the pool pump on or off. Once this is done then we decide on whether an underwater dive or pressure test is needed.
Any Equipment Leaks
or Visable Pipe Leaks
Any obvious leaks at the equip pad should be repaired first before any leak detection on the pool is done. If you don't have your own pool company to repair this we can recommend a pool company.
